Create The Life You Love
Can you believe that there are only 25 days left until the New Year?! I can’t believe that they're only 15 days until Christmas! The year has definitely flown by, and the older I get, the more time seems to fly by. I remember New Year’s day last year and how I was at home spending time with my Pinky Promise sisters reflecting on the past year, and praying in the new one. With this year under my belt and a new one on the cusp, I have one take away that has propelled me into a new mindset shift……You can never get back time.
The older I get, the more that I realize the importance and responsibility that comes with time. My time is so valuable, and it’s the only thing that I can’t get back. While I can make more money, I can’t get back the time that was lost. Each day I mentally, physically, and spiritually mature. I can’t afford to be the same as I was yesterday. God has given us the authority and opportunity to create life and live it abundantly. He calls us to be a good steward over everything including our time. How are you choosing to spend it?
Time holds weight and value. Just like money, we choose to spend our time. What are you consuming in your spare time? Are you wasting it on things and people that will keep you stagnant? Or are you spending your time going deeper in your purpose and consuming things that will push you to grow?
Tomorrow is not promised, so we need to be making sure that we are spending it wisely. If you don’t know what you are purposed to do, why are you spending all your time watching Shonda Thursdays and reality TV? Has God called you to start volunteering or form your own business? Than why are you spending your time comparing yourself to everyone on social media?
God has afforded us everything that we need to create the lives that we are purposed us to live. He has given us the equivalent amount of time to that of the most productive and successful person in the world. How are you spending it?
When you are called with a purpose, you don’t have time to waste. Your moments must be spent accomplishing the mission that you were called to do. Now I’m not saying that it’s not okay to spend some time watching TV or doing the things you enjoy, but it’s important to remember that everything should be done in moderation. So where are you spending your time? Take a time audit of your life. How much time are you spending watching TV or on social media? How much time are you spending laying in bed instead of spending time in your Word? How much time are you spending on the couch and not in the gym? You make time for what is important to you, and I can promise you that the results that you are or aren’t seeing goes back to how are you spending your time.
"Your moments must be spent accomplishing the mission that you were called to do."
